Dive sites in Panglao offer an extreme variety of styles. You can dive here for years and not tire of the diversity of fish, creatures, corals and sponges the reef houses. There are nearby dive sites just a stone’s throw away from the dive center, easily accessible by speedboat. For those who want to take the day off to go diving, there are plenty of options as well, like Pamilacan and Balicasag.
The coral diversity is immense, no matter where you go and you can always encounter some bigger fish in the blue. We have regular spanish mackerel sightings, as well as the occasional whalesharks cruising by close to Alona reef. You have to be lucky to bump into one, but they are around. Now and then we see a mobula ray flying by as well.
Besides the possibility of swimming into some bigger marine creatures, Panglao is most famous for the all-around macro biodiversity. You can literally strap on a tank and jump overboard anywhere, there are interesting subjects for photography to be found on the sea bottom.
