Gak-ang & Pungtod
GAK-ANG
Gak ang is a fisherman’s haven near Virgin Island. The current bifurcates here and attracts a lot of marine life. There is an impressive coral garden with lots of small fishes. There are lots of clownfish, damsels, moorish idols, butterfly fish, angelfish, etc. Usually we see lots of baby parrotfish here as well. This site is also very good for snorkeling. The deep slope has a couple of seafans that house some pygmy seahorses around 30m. The perfect place to dive with Nitrox. The dive site gains more and more popularity among the local dive instructors and divemasters.

PUNGTOD
A wild jungle of coral. It used to be the site with the most biodiversity in the area but suffered a lot of damage from the pandemic. We are still figuring out if there are parts that were left untouched. The wall used to drip with sponges and fans, the top was covered with table corals and schooling baby parrotfish everywhere. Between the corals there are lots of small fishes. All around here you can see lots of clownfish, damsels, moorish idols, butterfly fish, angelfish, etc. This site is also very good for snorkeling. We have spotted mobula rays here in the blue before as well.
